**Job Title:** Electrical Project Manager/Estimator (Healthcare)
**Job Summary:** Forest Electric NY is seeking an Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to assist the company in meeting its goals and objectives. This is a multi-discipline position where the successful candidate will perform take-offs, pricing, and oversee and direct assigned commercial electrical construction projects within the Healthcare sector.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Prepare detailed competitive estimates and proposals, assigning material and labor values to take-offs for bids, including preparing RFI’s and submittals.
+ Acquire vendor pricing on specialty materials, equipment and systems.
+ Travel to and attend project walk-through meeting(s) for bidding purposes and job tracking.
+ Analyze plans and subsequent construction documents to confirm project requirements and opportunities for value engineering.
+ Partner with Superintendents, Project Engineers and/or Estimators and to ensure a complete scope of work is defined.
+ Actively participate in project kick-off and turn-over meetings.
+ Execute and manage terms of project contracts and BEC & fire alarm filings.
+ Monitor project budgets and track labor costs; projecting all costs to complete.
+ Monitor construction activities and project schedules with milestone deadlines to be achieved, and spending time on and touring assigned job sites.
+ Establish customer relations to increase overall sales.
+ Prepare and manage communications with general contractors or construction managers for assigned projects.
+ Recommend methods and/or improvements based on project needs and resource capabilities.
+ Prepare documents for billing purposes and coordinate with accounting personnel.
+ Report and resolve customer concerns and/or grievances as needed.
+ Evaluate and assist with subcontractor and vendor scope and pricing review.
+ Attend and conduct on-site/off-site meetings as required.
+ Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.
+ Regular, predictable and reliable onsite attendance is an essential function of the position.
**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:**
+ Healthcare sector experience is highly desirable.
+ Electrical Engineering Degree a plus.
+ Five years + years of experience in the commercial electrical industry.
+ Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of electrical design documents in various stages of design completion.
+ Working knowledge of ConEst estimating software is preferred.
+ Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Ability to work independently in a fast paced, multi-task environment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Project sites are OSHA complaint projects and all team members are required to wear appropriate PPE. PPE equipment and supplies will be provided by the Company to the employee. OSHA training shall apply.
Compensation Range: $100,000 - $180,000
