Electrical Quality

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Inspection and Compliance: Conduct quality inspections for all E&I materials at the site, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, BOM, data sheets, and SFQP. Oversee electrical and instrumentation telecom inspections related to installations, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning. Ensure all works are carried out as per the Approved method of statement, Approved SFQP and Approved drawings. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare QA requirements, SFQP, and equipment test procedures as needed. Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection plans, and reports on inspections and tests carried out. Prepare daily QC reports, weekly surveillance reports, non-conformance reports, and verification of corrective actions. Project Coordination and Meetings: Attend kick-off and progress review meetings with contractors to resolve QA issues. Coordinate with site in-charge and execution managers for inspections and quality problem resolutions. Conduct final inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations prior to system handover and verify punch list items closeout. Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead a team of E&I QC inspectors, allocate RFIs, and supervise inspection activities. Monitor field-level performance, report on status, and suggest potential improvements through research and root cause analysis. Address day-to-day quality issues and prepare daily and weekly reports. Technical Expertise: Familiar with IS,IEC, NEC and other relevant codes and standards. Conduct comprehensive testing of equipment and systems to verify functionality, performance, and safety. Supervise the pre-commissioning and commissioning of electrical equipment in Power & Solar projects, including motors, power transformers, and more.

Testing and Pre-Commissioning Activities:

Transformer Testing (66 kV and 11 kV): Conduct insulation resistance tests, ratio tests, and functional tests. Perform dielectric tests, winding resistance tests, and oil analysis. Conduct voltage ratio, vector group, polarity, and magnetic tests. Perform IR and CRM tests, OTI/WTI settings, BDV tests, tan delta tests, and neutral earthing tests. Verify transformer protection settings and conduct load tests. Motor Testing and Commissioning: Conduct insulation resistance tests, winding resistance tests, and no-load tests. Perform vibration analysis, alignment checks, and thermal imaging. Verify motor protection settings and conduct full-load tests. HT and LT Panel Testing: Conduct insulation resistance tests, high voltage tests, and functional tests. Perform relay testing, circuit breaker testing, and busbar continuity checks. Verify panel protection settings and conduct load tests. Pre-Commissioning Activities: Develop and implement pre-commissioning plans and procedures. Conduct loop checks, interlock tests, and system integration tests. Verify the calibration of instruments and ensure proper installation. Ensure all pre-commissioning activities are documented and comply with project specifications. Additional Testing Activities: Conduct CRM tests, relay tests, and knee point tests. Perform CT and PT tests, earth leakage tests, and scheme checks. Conduct instrumentation loop checks, DCS configuration, and interlock checks. Perform transmitter loop checks, calibration checks, and installation checks.
