Focus: In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and reliability improvements to ongoing plant operations in the area of Power Distribution.

Electrical Reliability Engineer Essential Job Functions:

Work across all levels of the plant organization, (e.g. Engineering, maintenance and production teams, equipment suppliers, vendors and contractors), to ensure maintenance and project group goals are met. This includes planning and participating in plant shutdowns/outages, turnarounds, and new installations. Assist in policy, standards, preventive maintenance procedures, and operating procedure development to meet applicable code requirements and Olin procedures. Provide technical support regarding power distribution systems and motor controls while updating P&IDs, electrical single lines, and schematics for equipment installs or changes. Serve as engineering project manager for capital, electrical distribution, and controls related projects in addition to supporting project engineers in developing electrical and control systems. Assist with equipment and process troubleshooting, creating effective asset reliability strategies, and perform root cause analyses. Analyze, develop and recommend design changes/upgrades to existing equipment or procurement of new equipment to improve reliability and meet production requirements. Support plant and Operational and Maintenance Excellence goals, including continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing initiatives.

Electrical Reliability Engineer Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of Science Degree* in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. 3 years’ experience in a position working with electrical and power distribution.  Experience working with Honeywell, Allen Bradley, PLCs, and/or HMI. Knowledge of NEC and NFPA electrical codes. Prior utilization of SAP and AutoCAD. Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Experience in a manufacturing process environment, ideally a chemical manufacturer or refinery, with direct knowledge and experience in ISO9001/RC14001 standards and procedures.
