**The Job You Will Perform:**
The Reliability Electrical Engineer at International Paper’s Franklin Mill will be responsible for the safety and reliability of the mill’s electrical equipment. The individual must ensure that all electrical equipment has a proper maintenance strategy. PL will vary depending upon experience and qualifications.
**Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Maintain strong relationships with AMM’s, APM’s & FLLs to help challenge the mill to continuously improve electrical reliability systems and behavior
+ Drive Culture of Reliability that focuses on systems of MWS, Training, and Deliberate Improvement
+ Work with the area Operations, Maintenance and Capital groups to implement effective strategic maintenance initiatives that support achievement of reliability goals and objectives, key performance metrics, maintenance cost objectives, and capital projects execution.
+ Provide leadership and technical support to ensure Electrical Integrity programs are in compliance with OSHA requirements and Company policies.
+ Ensure effective utilization and integrity of the CMMS system (SAP) for sustaining effective maintenance practices and equipment improvements
+ Optimize the existing equipment care programs creating or updating PM, PDM routes as needed.
+ Review vendor reports on maintenance service and testing, such as EPD inspections, motor integrity testing, transformer inspection analysis, and valve performance testing, instrumentation calibration.
+ Lead refinement of the mills predictive and preventative E&I maintenance program.
+ Develop or refine QA/QC for E&I work
+ Provide technical assistance and advice as necessary to aid in troubleshooting complex issues in manufacturing/reliability process.
+ Utilize FMEA to provide systemic improvements in the overall reliability of equipment sets.
+ Utilize root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on mechanical equipment to eliminate failures.
+ Lead Deliberate Improvement Projects utilizing LEAN/Six Sigma principles to drive to 15% YOY Improvement in Constrained Area Downtime and 3% YOY Cost Reduction in Indirect Costs
+ Assume active role in developing effective technical training for IE technicians and FLLs
+ Support the planning effort for annual shutdown to include: complex job planning, job coordination, resource planning and financial management.
+ Provide technical support to Capital Projects and execution in assigned area(s).
+ Monitor effectiveness of predictive and preventative maintenance programs and drive improvement.
**The Skills You Will Bring:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance
+ Strong electrical aptitude
+ Experience with industrial motor controls, power distribution, AC and DC motors, power drives, and instrumentation
