The Electrical Services Instructor is responsible for delivering high quality training for Electrical Services Specialists. You will function as an expert in providing technical support in the delivery of training programs to meet the skill competencies of the learners. In this role, you are responsible for delivering learning solutions in both classroom and electronic environments assisting internal employees to achieve specific learning objectives.
As an Electrical Services Instructor, you will:
Deliver technical training classes Mentor struggling students Test product functionality in course training exercises for revised course materials to accommodate new software and hardware functionality Maintain expertise on knowledge of electrical services Test usability, product functionality and become a company expert on new products, services and processes Setup and pack up equipment for courses of instruction Troubleshoot and maintain equipment Reporting, tracking and completing preventative and corrective maintenance on training lab equipment Develop course materials and tests Maintain training facility Maintain training records and scores of students Travel up to 70%You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
8 years experience in the following roles: Systems or Service Specialist, Engineer, Sales Engineer, Project Manager, or a Zone Technical Expert in the electrical business Demonstrated proficiency in instructional techniques, adult learning principles, and development utilizing a wide range of media and learning strategies Strong platform skills and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels Must possess NFPA 70E and OSHA-30 training verification Must be able to obtain NICET Level 1 Electrical Testing certification within 12 months of start date 8 or more years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical control circuits in industrial, utility, and commercial systems 8 or more years of experience testing, commissioning, and maintaining LV and MV electrical power distribution systems 8 or more years of experience in the installation and maintenance of Power Automation Switchboards 8 or more years of experience using electrical test sets to perform testing and maintenance including but not limited to AC and DC HI Pot, TTR, power factor testing, ground fault testing, etc. following NFPA 70B and ANSI standards Experience reading electrical outlines, bills of material, blueprints, and power system studies and implementing the scope of services per the specifications Familiar with the arc flash and shock hazards of 13.8 kV and the following electrical equipment: Siemens GIS, AIS, WL, RL, and SB breakers and switchgear Trained and experienced with electrical codes and standards including but not limited to UL, ANSI/NETA, NFPA 70E/B, and IEEE Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted High School diploma or state-recognized GED Ability to travel as needed to train or learn new technologies (70%) Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Military Nuclear, Electrician’s Mate, Prime Power completion AVO, NETA, and NICET electrical testing certifications Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Proficient in SAP Experience implementing on-site modifications to LV/MV switchboards, panelboards, or switchgear Background in training, education, and/or curriculum deliveryYou’ll benefit from:
