Based in our Shakopee, MN location, the Electrical Supplier Quality Engineer will identify circuit board and/or component solutions to meet design performance requirements and quality expectations per company technology strategies. This person will work closely with design engineers and suppliers to ensure requirements are understood and supplier processes are capable of producing product that meets those requirements at the desired production rate and the best cost.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Act as an internal technology expert on designated processes and commodities supporting Emerson global technology strategies and communicate technical product roadmaps Build suppliers’ understanding of our technical and performance requirements Develop and maintain consistent electrical quality management processes between all Emerson global factories Influence design engineers to optimize for Design for Sourcing and manufacturability in New Product Development Lead evaluation and approval of new suppliers and parts through Advanced Quality Planning (AQP), actively resolve supplier-related issues and non-conformances Drive programs crafted to reduce total cost while maintaining quality Who You Are:You focus on creating an effective collaborative style. You prepare content for communication that is impactful. You convert ideas into actions and produce results with new initiatives. You drill down to root causes to gather relevant information. Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $70,000-80,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
