Job Description
This role involves high-level work within electronics, overseeing software on a medical devices, and focusing primarily on hardware development. The position includes responsibilities for every aspect of the electronics, with a significant amount of sustaining activities as regulatory requirements evolve. Although the role does not involve much coding, a strong understanding of software architecture, coding practices, and the interaction between software and hardware is essential.
ResponsibilitiesOversee software and hardware integration on a medical devices.Focus on hardware development and sustaining activities.Make necessary changes to medical equipment as regulatory requirements change.Collaborate with the team to ensure systems-level understanding of web portals and GPS transmission over 5G cellular networks.Read and understand code and architecture in C, C++, and C#.Utilize Arena for document and design control.Design PCB using Altium or any other CAD package.Lead and oversee the work of software engineers and junior hardware engineers.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.Hands-on development of electronics hardware.Experience in AC/DC circuit design.Proficiency in PCB design, preferably with Altium.Ability to read and understand code in C, C++, and C#.Familiarity with cybersecurity.Experience with Arena for document and design control.Additional Skills & QualificationsAdvanced academic degree.Experience with medical devices.Leadership experience overseeing software and junior hardware engineers.Work Environment
Our organization is a small team, consisting of 10 people on the engineering team. The work is fully on-site as it is hands-on.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $170000.00
