Our team is looking for an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for designing circuits for the avionics systems of the space station. **DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** + This position will play a key role in the design, development, integration, and test of electronic circuits for commercial human spaceflight modules + Translate high-level project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures working with cross-functional teams in R&D, mechanical design, software, manufacturing, and support + Lead the electrical integration of various spacecraft subsystems such as Propulsion, GNC, avionics, power, etc + Design single PCBs and/or complete instruments including FPGA, microprocessors, power, and analog components + Rapidly build and test prototypes, debug, and prepare documentation for manufacturing, and support + Perform additional job duties as assigned **QUALIFICATIONS:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **Education & Experience** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer or Electrical Engineering + Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience + Familiarity with data interface protocols and associated hardware such as Ethernet, RS232, RS422, RS485, I2C, SPI etc + Experience with test hardware such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, logic analyzers, function generators, electronic load banks, power supplies, power analyzers + Prior experience in design and integration of power systems + Prior experience in design and test of stepper and brushless DC-DC control circuits + Prior experience in the system integration of a complex vehicle, ideally in the space industry **Skills** + Excellent interpersonal skill + Excellent communication skill, verbal and written + Excellent organizational skills + Result oriented personality with a creative approach to problem solving + Ability to work in a team environment + Self-motivated **Essential Functions** Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task. **Requirements** + Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. + Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised. + Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position. **Physical Requirements** + Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time).
