ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
NAME: Open POSITION: Electrical Technician REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager POSITION OVERVIEW: Primarily responsible for the maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of electrical systems for the company’s manufacturing equipment and facilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems of manufacturing equipment and facilities. Experience and or general understanding of PC literacy, robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLC). Blow molding, injection molding and assembly equipment is preferred but not required. The individual must be motivated, aggressive, organized, and capable of working with a minimum amount of supervision. This position requires an individual who is creative and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: + Installation, setup, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of equipment electrical and mechanical systems including but not limited to: robots, PLC’s, drilling, spot welding, roll form, injection molding, blow molding, granulators, grinders, ultrasonic welders, screen printers, punch presses and general purpose automated/manual machines. + Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams and be knowledgeable in proper wire sizing and conduit bending. Knowledge of NEC (National Electric code). + Observe all prescribed and standard safety rules and regulations, and work within the confines of the hazardous material guidelines. + Maintain awareness of environmental regulations (EPA, OSHA, Etc.) and help ensure compliance. + Maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment including power (electric), air, water, heating, and other related services. + Order, inventory and organize required electrically related spare parts for plant equipment and critical work centers. + Troubleshoot tooling, equipment and processes to resolve technical and maintenance problems. + Promptly maintain/repair all safety and codes related aspects of FGI facilities. + Assist with manufacturing process improvements, cost reductions and quality improvement initiatives. + Minimize waste through set up reduction, scrap reduction, improved material and machine utilization. + Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment. Individual must be highly motivated, organized and exhibit a sense of urgency. + All other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
