Position Summary:

The role requires a detailed understanding and practical experience of Electrical maintenance activities related to modern combined cycle gas turbine plant, desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary plant equipment.               

The Job Holder will work closely with other Electrical Technicians to ensure Plant Routines are carried out efficiently and to high quality standards;

Technical            

Responsible to ensure compliance of IMS. Practical experience of maintaining instrumentation and control equipment gained through hands on experience and formal training. Organizing spares, tools and equipment to carry out maintenance activities Carry out maintenance activities on a range of major Electrical systems in accordance with OEM Manuals for the equipment. Performs troubleshooting activities as necessary to determine failure conditions and rectifies the defects found. Works with Plant Operations Personnel for resolving problems encountered with control equipment under the guidance of the ELECTRICAL Foreman/Engineer. Ability to carry out duties with minimum supervision Practical knowledge of plant isolations from system Knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices Ensures a safe working environment for himself and his colleagues while working on any equipment Computer literacy Good command of English Language
