About the Role: We are looking for an Electrical Technician to join our team. This associate will be a skilled, self-motivated, service-oriented individual and will provide night shift electrical maintenance, mechanical and calibration support for our manufacturing and facility operations. The associate will be responsible for electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on all types of production, facility, and lab equipment with a focus of preventive maintenance/calibrations and breakdown support activities. Standard shift hours are Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. with flexibility based on business needs.
This role will be located at our Appleton North facility in Elkton, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits:
$33.00 - $52.00 per hour This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour). Responsibilities:
Foster and maintain a positive and safe working environmentPartner with manufacturing associates and engineers to understand needs and priorities to ensure that all assets and equipment are maintained
Troubleshoot and repair equipment utilizing drawings, manuals, equipment history, and tools as required and provide input on preventive / predictive maintenance tasks to process and design engineers as needed
Basic fabrication skills utilizing machine shop equipment (drill press, saw, mill, lathe, sheet metal forming, etc.)
Document and sign off on completed maintenance/calibration activities including time, parts, and description of work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Provide day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance repair support to all manufacturing and operations including but not limited to; complex fluid handling processes, rotary /punch press die cutting platforms, labs, facility equipment and executing any calibration tasks required
Provide off shift and weekend support as necessary to provide hands on support for manufacturing or facility related issues
Organize and direct outside contractors as needed
Required Qualifications:
Journey level electrical skills with minimum 3 years hands-on experience in an industrial production facility, utilizing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and variable speed drivesExperience with basic instrumentation devices (e.g. temperature controllers, analog devices) and general calibration processes
Understanding and familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and vacuum systems
Solid understanding of OSHA, NEC (National Electric Code), NFPA codes
Desktop computer skills and able to work from drawings coupled with basic understanding of networking and operating systems as related to automation controls
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and the ability to follow written procedures
Ability to work safely in an industrial environment including, working from ladders, aerial lifts, and wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to mentor other associates including apprentices, collaborate with cross-functional teams and work independently
Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while handling complex projects
Ability to work overtime, perform on call duties after normal working hours and ability to travel up to 5%
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Siemens or Allen Bradley & Wonderware HMI (Human Machine Interface)Robotics & Building Automation Systems
Welding, fabrication, mechanical and rigging skills
