Electrical Technician
**Job Title: Electrical Technician** **Job Description** Conducts, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled electrical/electronic support to all areas to perform the job successfully. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment including, but not limited to, programmable logic controllers, power supplies, motor starters, frequency drives, sensors, gauges, and test equipment. + Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. + Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components. + Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved. + Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. + Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. + Recommends spare parts and materials needed for inventory on hand. + Documents and maintains daily paperwork in a timely manner. + Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting. + Comply with OSHA Safety, NEC, and FDA, GMPs, HACCP food safety, and Health rules. + Help develop best practices/processes and training as needed. + Understanding and providing good customer service is fundamental. + Perform other duties as assigned or needed. **Essential Skills** + Basic understanding of electrical symbols, drawings, and schematics. + Basic AC/DC electrical theory (Ohm's law). + Basic use of electrical test equipment such as DMM, amp meter, and probes. + Basic components identification and theory (e.g., contactors, sensors, drives, overloads). + Basic knowledge of wiring, conduit, LOTO, and NEC code. + Ability to work on AC/DC low voltage circuits. + Ability to troubleshoot basic PLC I/O visually and with the use of DMM. + Basic electrical troubleshooting of motors, VFD drives, electrical devices, and other control devices (e.g., RTDs, level sensors). + Ability to perform calibration configuration of drives, transducers, sensors, etc. + Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions with minimal direction. + Ability to learn and apply structured problem-solving in a team environment. + Excellent organizational and communication skills. + Ability to work within a team environment and with external partners. + Self-motivated and able to achieve high impact in an unstructured environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in maintenance, bottling, filling, packaging, and electrical troubleshooting. + Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. + Experience as a maintenance technician, electronics, wiring, and installation. **Why Work Here?** They offer a great training program for mechanics and significant opportunities for growth. During harvest, work is typically 6 days per week, 12-hour days from 6am-6pm. There are three shifts available: 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:30pm), and 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:30am). Overtime is common, with a minimum of one day off per week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DEL REY, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
