Overview Electrical Technician - Mokena, IL Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 Annually Summary: Are you a skilled Electrical Technician ready to make a difference? Join our dynamic team and take charge of maintaining and troubleshooting our plant/building electrical systems and automation. With guidance from our Electrical Automation Manager and team, you'll design, program, and diagnose PLC control systems, perform new installations, and occasionally instruct other maintenance personnel. Your Key Responsibilities: Design, program, and diagnose PLC and automation controls Ensure proper functionality of plant systems and operations Perform electrical preventative maintenance and troubleshooting systematically Plan, direct, and record periodic electrical testing; recommend equipment modifications or replacements Install/repair wiring & small conduit according to accepted codes and NEC standards Maintain inventory part levels for timely availability Utilize electrical instrumentation, process controls, and control circuits to wire and maintain motor control circuits Instruct and supervise maintenance personnel/contractors on projects Report and correct unsafe actions or conditions Respond to emergency calls Create and file reports, schematics, and work estimates Adhere to safety rules and regulations Qualifications You'll Bring: High School diploma or equivalent Preferred: Vocational education in electrical/industrial electrical or industrial training 5+ years’ experience in an industrial setting with 110v/208v and 480v systems, including conduit bending and threading Valid driver’s license with a good driving record Basic knowledge of PLC architecture, installations, and maintenance practices Ability to read and interpret manuals, parts catalogs, and electrical/control schematics Basic knowledge of NFPA-70 (NEC) and NFPA 70E (ARC Flash & Electrical Safety) Skills/Abilities You'll Need: Self-starter with a sense of urgency Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt effective courses of action Benefits Information: At Ozinga, we care about the well-being of our team members both in and out of the workplace.
