Electrical Technician - Aqua Quip

Job Overview:

Its an exciting time to be with Aqua Quip. We are currently experiencing industry-leading growth and expansion. Aqua Quip is looking for additional team members to take us to the next level.  The Electrician must be able to properly diagnose a situation and make the necessary repair or recommendation as well as communicate successfully with Aqua Quip’s internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:   

Provide troubleshooting of electrical equipment problems in response to customer requests for service; make necessary repairs and test all functions to complete job properly

 Leave a job site cleaner than when first arrived

Conform to a daily schedule, including an agreed-upon start time, assigned work-orders, special request visits, and estimated end time

Review daily work-orders, verifying all information and determining what parts/products may be necessary to complete the repair

Plan the day’s service visits for maximum efficiency and call customers who have requested an ETA call before 9:00 a.m.

Complete daily paperwork thoroughly and accurately, including work reports/invoices, parts orders/transfers, time sheets, warranty tags, door hangers, and other paperwork as assigned

When a job is complete, collect payment from the customer on site, and provide the customer with the necessary paperwork

If the job requires an additional visit, communicate with the customer by leaving a copy of the work report, a door hanger and by cell phone

Ensure vehicle inventory integrity and manage core levels by requesting transfers to add items and return unused items to stock. Verify that there are bar codes and SKU tags on all items

Identify safety and code violations and recommend corrective actions to customers

Promote departmental specials and company programs to customers

Instruct customers on equipment operation, proper care and maintenance

Maintain necessary training hours to keep electrical license current

Comply with the company’s uniform policy

Comply with the company’s vehicle use policy and complete weekly vehicle reports

 Attributes, Skills and Abilities:

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

Able to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

Maintain 01 or 02 electrical license.

Knowledgeable about Aqua Quip’s products and services

Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform continuous physical activity

Able to work outdoors in all types of weather

Possess a valid Washington Safe Driver’s License, maintain insurable driving status and pass chemical dependency screening

Understands and complies with safety policies

Team oriented--able to work with a variety of people, including management, other team members and external and internal customers

Functional understanding of company’s software, including Outlook

Projects a professional image in accordance with company standards
