SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Support level position, working under the supervision of an experienced technician and/or Production Manager.
FUNCTIONS:
Production Mechanical Technician
Build and maintain new and existing field vehicles and related equipment. Perform repair work, and adjustments, troubleshoot maintenance issues, ensure vehicle safety compliance as it pertains to equipment, verify newly built vehicles have sufficient inventory, and participates in shop safety, field safety, health and environmental programs.
Production Electrical Technician
Understanding of electrical control box assemblies. Basic wiring and cabling installations for new builds and maintaining existing equipment. Ability to read blue prints for production assemblies or troubleshooting existing equipment. Works with minimal supervision and able to complete tasks given by supervisor in a timely manner. Participate in shop, field, health and safety environmental programs.

Interacts with direct supervisor. Interacts across departmental boundaries.WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee will predominantly work indoors in the main production facility, but will occasionally need to travel from vehicle to vehicle in the US, Mexico and Canada. Work may be performed at railroad sites and shops. Weather conditions may be extreme. Travel might be expected 5%.
