Electrical Technician- Research & Development
As an R&D Electrical Technician here at Honeywell Thermal Solutions, you will be responsible for supporting the research and development process for electrical systems with our combustion engineering team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and optimize new thermal solutions products. This role is based in Muncie, IN. You will report directly to our R&D Manager and be based out of our Muncie, IN location. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the development and improvement of industry-leading thermal products, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and test electrical components and systems. • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including three-phase A/C, to identify and resolve issues. • Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and work instructions. • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve product performance and manufacturability. • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and processes. WE VALUE • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. • Experience with research and development processes. • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (especially UL, NEC, and NFPA). • Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit analyzers. • Knowledge of electrical systems and components. • Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings. • Familiarity with arc flash hazards. • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations associated with high voltage systems. • Previous experience in a similar role within an industrial setting. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
