The Electrical Test Engineer will perform testing activities to support the Reactor (MCFR) program, which include supporting the development of test plans and specifications, as well as executing test activities and analyzing test data.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

As an Electrical Test Engineer you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tServe as a Test Engineer for the testing of molten salt systems and components for MCFR technology. \r\n\tSupport the implementation and development of instrumentation required for molten salt systems.\r\n\tDevelop and program the control system for associated tests and experiments.\r\n\tImplement test requirements, plans, specifications, and procedures for testing activities for unique components in a high temperature molten salt environment. \r\n\tAssist with fabrication and assembly of system testing hardware\r\n\tConduct testing activities at laboratories to ensure safe operation and successful gathering of high-quality data related to high temperature molten salts. \r\n\tPerform scientific analysis on test data and generate test reports to document new knowledge related to molten salt reactors. \r\n\tSupport continuous learning and application of nuclear industry best practices to maintain the highest quality design and to identify process change/enhancement opportunities. \r\n\tHelp foster a collaborative and safe work environment for testing and laboratory activities.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a Full Time Opportunity

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tB.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear or Materials Science Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree a plus. \r\n\tExperience in research with exotic fluids desired, especially at temperatures above 400°C. \r\n\tExperience with hands-on, ground-up design, fabrication, operation, and scientific analysis of first-of-a-kind equipment is highly desirable. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\tExperience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD for two- and three-dimensional experimental design desirable. \r\n\tExperience with programming, troubleshooting, and operating DAQ/PLC/SCADA systems and software. LabVIEW or Siemens experience is desirable. \r\n\tExperience with data acquisition and controls for complex engineering systems with inputs/outputs (I/O) from varied instruments and devices.\r\n\tField experience in start-up/commissioning, troubleshooting, diagnostics, testing, and calibration of electrical/I&C systems.\r\n\tFamiliarity with electrical design, wiring, and fabrication per electrical codes and regulations (e.g. NFPA 70/70E/79, UL) preferred.\r\n\tTrack record of working safely with laboratory chemicals and in hazardous physical conditions preferred. \r\n\tFamiliarity with fabrication, joining, and cladding processes and limitations desired. \r\n\tExperience with scripting and automation of analysis tools desired. \r\n\tAbility to participate in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists.\r\n\tStrong analytical/problem solving skills, creative thinker. \r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour

\r\n\r\n
