This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Electrical Test Technician
Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Electrical Test Technician will include: Compensation (Range): 23-25/ hour Off Board Power Conversion Technician Position Overview/Description: In this role you will work with the Off Board Power Conversion Engineers in the development of next generation Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment and Home Energy Management Systems used to manage power transfer to and from electrified vehicles. You will be leading the testing efforts of these new EVSE and HEMS devices by setting up test equipment, instrumentation and devices, running test scripts, and collecting and storing data. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Primary responsibility • Work with design engineers to layout the timing and equipment needed to complete EVSE/HEMS testing. • Install required instrumentation for each test as required. • Run test scripts to complete the specified test. • Create or modify test harnesses. • Use data collection tools to gather test data and upload to the on-line storage system. • Assist design engineers in troubleshooting issues as required during testing. Extended responsibilities • Develop skills to write test code to automate testing. • Help manage test sequencing by priority. • PCB modification and soldering. • Update and manage test requests submitted by engineers. Job Requirements: Basic Qualifications: • Associates Degree or Automotive Technician Certification preferred. • 3+ years of hands-on work experience in component, powertrain, or vehicle testing. • Read and understand electrical schematics and drawings. • High voltage experience or training. • Excellent teamwork and communication skills. • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Read and understand electrical schematics and drawings. • High voltage experience or training. • Excellent teamwork and communication skills. • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks. 3+ years of hands-on work experience in component, powertrain, or vehicle testing. Education Required: Associates Degree or Automotive Technician Certification preferred.
