Electrical Test Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a High Voltage Test Technician to join our cutting-edge High Voltage research and testing lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for physically wiring circuits, working between the control room and the testing lab, and analyzing data between test. This role involves setting up test samples, running tests, taking measurements, and reporting results back to engineers. Additionally, the technician will assist with editing and uploading test shot videos to our online systems.

Essential Skills2-5 years of experience as a Test Technician, specifically in DC testing environments.Comfortable working in high voltage labs.Strong understanding of basic electricity functions, including Ohm's Law.Experience wiring electrical circuits in series and parallel.Proficiency in using electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and resistance meters.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.ResponsibilitiesBuild, modify, and test prototypes and fixtures for various testing scenarios.Wire electrical circuits in series or parallel as required.Set up and run tests in high voltage lab environments.Take measurements and analyze data post-test using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and resistance meters.Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.Collaborate with engineers to report test results and adjust test parameters.Edit and upload test videos to online systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate Degree in Electronics or related field is a PLUS.Experience working in high-powerPrior experience building, modifying, and testing development prototypes.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.Work Environment

This role is based in our High Voltage Test Lab, which is a clean and organized facility. The lab supports the automotive industry, working on exciting new concepts and products for electric vehicles.
