Electrical Testing and Quality Systems Manager

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Electrical Testing and Quality Systems Manager in Fayetteville, NC. Relocation assistances is available for candidates that reside 50 miles outside of Fayetteville, NC facility. 

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year.  Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Electrical Testing and Quality Systems Manager is responsible for interpreting customer specifications and creating procedures test criteria and verifying technical capabilities to ensure our products meet customer and industry standards. Provide technical linkage between Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Warranty supporting overall plant initiatives in improving sales, profit, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position will oversee 30-40 employees.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Technical Support and Training:
•    Provide day-to-day technical support to testers.
•    Analyze and develop testers' technical capabilities.
•    Provide support and training for technical software used during testing.
•    Establish a comprehensive and sustainable training program to enhance testers' technical capabilities.
Safety, Compliance, and Quality:
•    Serve as Site Responsible Person for electrical test safety.
•    Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
•    Provide Quality and Test customer specification interpretation.
•    Evaluate and establish test procedures for products and systems.
•    Write test procedures for new components and assemblies.
•    Develop test equipment specifications and ensure fabrication meets design and safety requirements.
New Product Introduction and Improvement:
•    Support new product introduction through PFMEA’s, Control Plans, and PROLaunch process.
•    Develop diagnostic systems to minimize troubleshooting.
•    Manage improvement efforts using tools like Six Sigma and PROLaunch.
•    Coordinate projects and production programs to support divisional and plant objectives.
•    Lead Test Data Management requirements for standardized work and reporting.
Technical Expertise and Customer Support:
•    Provide technical expertise during customer visits, inspections, and manufacturing.
•    Conduct root cause investigations to prevent repetitive issues.
•    Stay current on changes in technology, customer requirements, industry trends, and standards.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
•    Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
•    Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
•    Preferred 5+ years’ experience designing industrial Motor Control schemes and their implementation.
•    Strong understanding of electrical concepts and theory, including the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose a circuit.
•    Experience/Knowledge of industrial programming PLC/HMI and automation/controls.
•    Fundamental knowledge of industrial PC based networks and communication protocols with integration and implementation experience.  (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, DeviceNET, Profibus, Ethernet IP)
•    Ability to interface with different groups and organizations to facility the development of testing standards, product standards, and facility the dissemination of product knowledge.
•    Understanding of 3 Phase Power Distribution Systems
•    Knowledge of NEC, UL and applicable industry standards.
•    Ability to interface with different groups and organizations to facilitate the development of testing standards.
•    Six Sigma Greenbelt
