About the Role

Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7/7 roster pattern roster arrangement with residential, FIFO (from Adelaide) and DIDO options available.
The role will involve being an active team member, providing Electrical Trades Assistant support to the Mine Electrical Reticulation work team. You will adhere to operating requirements and strive for the safe achievement of individual, team and site objectives.
In this role you will:
• Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
• Provide trade assistance skills to support planned, unplanned or breakdown maintenance
• Develop close working relationships with maintenance and other personnel to ensure that all maintenance activities are rectified immediately and escalated where required
• Provide continual feedback to the Shift Maintenance Supervisors on job progress
• Update events and work requests with an accurate scope of work, to support effective planning of work
• Provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor on improvement opportunities
• Build cross-functional relationships with the range of Operational areas to support maintenance
• Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of action items affecting equipment reliability
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping in all work areas
About You
Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way Previous experience working in a similar Electrical Trades Assistant role within the mining industry (preferred) Working at Heights and Integrated tool carrier tickets are advantageous Experience with mining/minerals processing environments (preferred) Proven ability to demonstrate appropriate HSEC behaviours Ability to communicate across multiple levels and disciplines Ability to work autonomously, or as part of a team Current, valid driver’s licence
