The ideal candidate will have experience running and bending aluminum rigid conduit, reading wiring diagrams and schematics, and using various hand and electrical tools. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical components and wiring techniques, as well as the ability to follow instructions and maintain a safe and clean work environment. **Responsibilities** + Build industrial machines and control panels for industrial bakery equipment. + Run and bend 1/2"-1.5" aluminum rigid conduit. + Read wiring diagrams and schematics. + Use a wire threader (both hand and electrical). + Drill and tap holes in aluminum. + Use angle grinders and plasma cutters. + Interpret and follow verbal, written, and drawn instructions. + Assemble various electrical components to back panels and/or equipment. + Wire components per given specifications. + Maintain work area cleanliness, functionality, and safe conditions. + Perform all assigned tasks within a limited amount of time, ensuring acceptable quality and following safety practices (including lock-out/tag-out procedures). + Report on assembly progress and suggest countermeasures to maintain or recover schedules. + Identify and suggest productivity and/or quality improvements to Supervisors and/or Engineers. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in reading schematics and electrical diagrams. + Experience with schematics, electrical assembly, and blueprint reading. + Mechanical assembly and machine building skills. + Experience with power tools and electrical wiring. + Knowledge of conduit, control panels, PLCs, and transformers. + Previous experience as an electrician, preferably from an OEM. + Trade school education with an electrical focus. + Relevant electrical experience. + Ability to comprehend and execute verbal, written, and drawn instructions, including engineering controls drawings and schematics. + Solid electrical aptitude with sound judgment and proper use of NEC code and wiring techniques. + Comfortable working with a wide variety of hand, electrical, and pneumatic tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to assess and diagnose problematic situations and repair issues. + Ability to lift 50 pounds. + Ability to safely operate a fork truck. + Experience with Residential and Commercial Electricians is beneficial. + Success in similar roles in companies such as DRC, ABB, Anord, and Bizerba is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** We offer a great benefits package and the opportunity to work with a very tenured team, some of whom have upwards of 30 and 40 years of experience. We have two facilities: Workhorse and Flex. Typical manufacturing facility conditions apply, with indoor work making up 95% of tasks and outdoor work 5%. The facility is heated in winter but not air-conditioned in summer. Employees must be able to stand on concrete floors for a minimum of eight hours and may need to kneel, squat, bend over, and stand for long periods. The environment can occasionally be loud, especially in areas where grinding or machine testing is taking place. Ear plugs are provided and required where posted. Employees must be able to work with both live wire (up to 575V) and dead wire conditions, with live wire conditions generally making up less than 20% of the normal working environment. The shift is from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday, with potential overtime extending to 3 pm or 4 pm, and occasional overtime on Saturdays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
