Electrician A - Maintenance

Description:Work from drawings, sketches, schematic diagrams, rough sketches, general instructions, and standard procedures to plan and layout work details necessary to install equipment, wire panels and control boxes and perform other complex wiring and electrical installations.

Work with high voltages, cut into live wires, make installations involving intricate interlocks, breakers, switches, warning devices, indicators, conduits, relays, etc., and install, maintain and repair motors, transformers, generators, lighting fixtures, electric tools, time clocks, AC and DC and large multi-phase equipment and apparatus.

Check work, and make all necessary corrections and adjustments to insure completeness, proper equipment operations, and safety.

Refer hazardous conditions or very unusual problems or situations to leadman or foreman.

When emergency or unusual conditions arise in operations of Maintenance Department, or at request of supervisor, may be assigned other maintenance duties usually of a less skilled nature.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications :
-Requires knowledge of electrical theory and National Electrical Code, and familiarity with industrial 3 or 4 wire circuits controlled by relays or solenoid coils, motors or transformers.
-Requires ability to work from wiring diagrams and use electrical measuring instruments such as voltmeter ammeter, and analyzers. Equivalent to 4 years formal technical trades training.
-2-3 Years of hands on experience
-Experience planning and performing electrical maintenance, installation, and repair jobs.
-Experience finding break in circuits, accuracy of hook-up and repairing electrical defects in machines within reasonable time.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
