ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

Installs, maintains, or repairs electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.Maintains current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.Troubleshoots electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.Installs wiring and conduit and inspects systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.Follows electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems.Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment.Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation.Understands schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Electrician License for the District of Columbia (D.C.).Minimum Education: High Diploma.Minimum Experience: Entry Level. 2-4 years of experience as an Electrician.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

 

 

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results. May be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have or be eligible for security clearances. May require occasional travel.
