We are searching for a talented and qualified Electrician who has proven experience with the safe and effective execution of electrical system repairs on industrial equipment. Working day shift to support continuous production operations, you will be responsible for safely executing a variety of electrical troubleshooting and repair work.
The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of PLCs, motors, indicating systems, transformers, switchboards (low voltage), motor controllers, circuit breakers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and other electrical equipment essential for production performance in a manufacturing facility. Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. In this position, you should also be able to make decisions, troubleshoot, and perform repairs with little to no supervision.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs.Works from schematics, drawings, layouts or other specifications to install and test electrical systems or equipment.Perform Preventive Maintenance Systems tests and inspections, documenting results.Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.Uses test instruments to determine faults and replaces components.Work with a range of hand tools including electrical test equipment.Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.Assists specialists and engineers in making more complex repairs.Comply with all plant safety directives.Requirements:
Must be able to work well in a team environment as part of an 8+ hour shift schedule.Call-ins as needed.High school diploma or equivalent qualification.A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an electrician/controls/PLC experience.In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.Good communication skills.Strong attention to detail with good applied mathematical skills.Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.Comp: $33/hour
