We are looking for a hardworking, dependable person who wants to be a part of our Maintenance Services team. The Electrician will support the Maintenance Services group by testing the availability of utilities, preventive maintenance and overall support to the electrical systems team and electrical distribution system.
Responsibilities\:
Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy Installation or repair of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, fire alarm systems, motors, heating units, conduit systems or other transmission equipment Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications; locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment Working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment Use a variety of electrician’s hand tools, measuring and testing Work will include additional duties as assigned *Hourly rate is $33.35. Eight years of experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training in a designated field, craft or trade that can be documented by a certificate or diploma from a reputable organization, school, or trade school program. Must be Virginia state licensed, journeyman level worker. Must be able to effectively communicate with others.

Test Environment (85%) - May be exposed to areas of high noise levels, hazardous propellants, chemicals, and industrial facilities. Travel between various facilities and during test operations is required. May bring exposure to loud noise and potentially hazardous equipment operations. (15%)
Physical Requirements\:
Visual and physical (hands on) contact of test related systems, hardware, and articles. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, twist and sit for extended periods as well as climb, crawl, and lift-up to 35 lbs. (100%). Ability to distinguish basic colors (10%). Corrected vision and hearing at all times (100%) Must be able to use the following\: Platform or A-frame ladders up to 12 Ft (30%) Extension ladders up to 24 Ft (10%) Personal or one man aerial lifts up to 30 Ft. (10%) Articulating or boom aerial lifts up to 35 Ft. (10%)
Equipment and Machines\:
Will use hand tools, power tools, mechanical, and electrical control devices (40%)
Control room test operation display/keyboards, mechanical and electrical control devices (20%) Personal computers and related equipment (10%)
Safety and personal protective equipment (50%)
Attendance\:
Regular attendance is mandatory (100%)
Overtime/work outside normal schedule required (<20%)
Other Essential Functions\:
U.S. Citizenship required. Valid driver's license is required. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and not impose a safety/risk hazard to the employee or others. CMOE Maintenance employees will exercise diligence when developing a Safe Plan of Action (SPA) for each task performed. Your SPA is a Company provided resource to be used for the prevention of incidents, accidents, and injuries\: as such, it is the most important resource you are required to use. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required.
