Overview

The Electrician keeps equipment and facilities in compliance with regulatory standards and in good working order. Repairs, installations, and scheduled maintenance are performed on building utility systems, production utilities, lab spaces, office areas, building & utility monitoring systems, and more. Assignments may be moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in solving problems and making recommendations.

Responsibilities

Installs and repairs electrical materials, equipment, and machineryAssists other team members in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasksPerforms inspections and repairs to manufacturing facilitiesMaintenance and repair of the following systems: Electrical Systems (UPS, Normal and Emergency Power), Fire Alarm Systems, Electrically Operated Overhead Doors and all lighting including outside site lighting, BAS and other low voltage cablingInspects, isolates problems and repair defects in lighting, electrical wiring utilizing hand tools, and electrical testing equipmentCalculates electrical loads and feedsDismantles equipment / fixtures and plan systematic replacement or repair of accessories and parts and return equipment to operationsInspects completed electrical work for quality, safety, and proper operationCoordinates maintenance work with other departments and divisions; maintains accurate records of maintenance and repair workPerforms preventative maintenance monthly assignments and complete in time appropriatedResponds to emergencies as neededMonitors operation, adjusts, and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and hot water heaters; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; records readings and adjust where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipmentAnalyzes the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as requiredAssists with the installation and repair plumbing/piping/tubing; wire single and three phase motors (single & two speed); run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.Installs and rebuilds pumps and motors; installs and rebuilds air compressors, heat exchangers, replaces bearings in all types of motors, replaces seals on pumps, installs and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls, assists other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipmentComplies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materialsFamiliar with LOTO and maintains a clean and safe workplaceTakes proper safety precautions and utilizes appropriate safety gear / equipment in the performance of all dutiesChange of lightbulbs and ballasts as neededAbility to communicate and work in teamsHas a clear understanding of how to troubleshoot electrical systems and the voltages that might be present

Skills/Qualifications

5+ years of related experience.Electrical and/or HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning) License (As per requirement – Classe 3,2 or 1)High School diploma or state equivalent. + Electrical License Or ITI + Electrical DiplomaAny one of the follows or more mentioned below experience as per site conditionsExperience working on Chiller/ AHU (Air Handling Units)/ Indoor Air Conditioning system (VAV / VFD / PAHU/CSU/Cassette Units/ Knowledge on CFF & Air Balancing)Familiarity with BAS, generator, and switchgearsExperience in handling UPS System / Electrical repair/ Lighting system/ MCCB /RCCB /Lux Level etc.Experience in handling Office Equipements / Minor repair & Maintenance of Kitchen Equipements etc.Able to regularly lift items up to 50lbsPhysically able to operate electric hand tools, carry tools, lift, and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment.Effective communication and organization skillsTeam player-works well with others

Estimated total compensation for this position:

77,400.00 – 94,800.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
