Amentum
**Amentum** is looking for an **Electrician** to join our team in **Washington, DC** . You will inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, and make necessary tests on all medium and low voltage utility systems, equipment, motors, MCC panels, generators, transformers, switch-gears, substations, and distribution systems.
**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Possess a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical apparatus and control circuitry maintenance.
+ Strong background in low voltage switchgear maintenance and repair
+ Thoroughly familiar with electrical test equipment
+ Knowledge of NEC regulations
+ Willingness to work rotational shifts if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
+ 8+ years in the electrical trade working as Journeyman Electrician
+ Must have a Journeyman Electrician License
+ A willingness to work rotational shifts if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
+ Must be able to perform the required physical qualifications of the position, including:
+ the ability to lift or carrying up to 50 lbs;
+ stand and/or walk for prolonged/extensive amounts of time;
+ can use a ladder or lift and work on structures or equipment above ground level;
+ work in cramped or uncomfortable places and positions;
+ can push, pull, or lift heavy equipment, supplies or parts.
