Job Description

This person is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic manufacturing and packing equipment. This includes blow molders, net weight fillers, case packers, bottle sorters, and all supporting equipment to keep the plant floor running smoothly. The facility currently has 4 lines and is looking to add two more in the next year. The role may also involve moving or transporting equipment within the facility to continue improving on 5S standards. The candidate will use multi-meters, hand tools, power tools, compressors, and other equipment to repair in-house machinery. Additionally, maintaining routine and seasonal preventative maintenance programs for mechanical systems and utilizing a maintenance system to order supplies and materials for repairs is required.

ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing and packing equipment case packers, fillers and ect. Move and transport equipment within the facility to improve 5S standards.Use multi-meters, hand tools, power tools, compressors, and other equipment for repairs.Maintain routine and seasonal preventative maintenance programs for mechanical systems.Utilize maintenance software to order necessary supplies and materials.Essential Skills5+ years of experience with PLCs, electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and equipment installation.Proficient in PLC edit and troubleshooting.Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, and various types of meters.Ability to navigate and use maintenance software.Strong organization and time management skills.Proficient written and verbal skills, including reading blueprints, schematics, diagrams, operational manuals, and manufacturers' instructions.Experience repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of general maintenance functions such as HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry.Journeyman License.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The facility is very clean and located in Walker, MI. It manufactures vacuum cleaning products and other household cleaning items, involving the full cycle of vacuum wash including blow molding of bottles, chemical manufacturing of liquid, bottling equipment, packaging, and sealant equipment. This is a 1st Shift Maintenance Electrician Position, working a 4x10 shift from 4:45am to 3pm with a 15-20 minute overlap on shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00
