Job Description
Monitor all critical and building systems, making adjustments and repairs as needed. Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls. Perform maintenance and repair on all types of electromechanical equipment, while maintaining equipment logs and preventive maintenance records. Assist in compiling data for daily and monthly reports, and perform maintenance on UPS systems, switchgear, transfer switches, and the entire electrical distribution system. Report unsafe conditions and failures to supervisors, and perform housekeeping duties in the MERs and electric closets. Ensure all work is done in a workmanlike manner, following all safety guidelines.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair main electrical services, distribution services, panels, and powerline conditioners.Inspect and maintain plant substation, transformers, and HV switches.Install electrical utilities to production and support equipment, and troubleshoot these systems when necessary.Maintain, repair, and replace all facility lighting.Perform preventative maintenance of emergency electrical power systems.Assist in all electrical needs of the manufacturing areas.Perform weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance assignments.Complete work orders as assigned.Provide backup for diesel fuel delivery.Ensure electrical installations are installed and maintained in accordance with NEC and IEEE standards.Maintain electrical diagnostic tools and equipment in safe operating condition, including hot sticks.Work overtime as needed by the department, including flexible hours and after-hours on-call shifts.Actively participate in Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 5S, blitzes, Shift Start-up, updating PVD boards, lean lite, and KAS.Communicate effectively, timely, and appropriately with all associates, including peers, support teams, and management, and escalate issues as needed.Comply with all local, state, federal, and client safety regulations, policies, and procedures, including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations.Comply with all local client quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.Comply with company and site-required training programs.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsLicensed ElectricianExperience with conduit, wiring, and troubleshootingKnowledge of chillers, boilers, and BASA minimum of five to ten years of electrical experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with high voltage substation and equipment is a plusAbility to stand, kneel, crawl, bend, and use hands, fingers, and arms to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipmentAbility to occasionally lift 50 lbs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Join a team of 18 responsible for maintaining a 300-room hotel, parking garage, putt-putt course, and theatre hall. We are currently preparing to break ground on a baseball field and stadium on the campus as well. The shift for this role is Tuesday - Saturday, 2pm - 10:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McLean, Virginia.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00
