Job Description

We are seeking experienced electricians to join our team at the Port of Norfolk. The role involves installing galvanized Rigid, PVC coated rigid, and aluminum rigid conduit. Applicants must have experience working with 1-inch to 3-inch rigid conduit. Commercial electricians with the right conduit experience are encouraged to apply.

ResponsibilitiesInstall galvanized Rigid, PVC coated rigid, and aluminum rigid conduit.Work with 1-inch to 3-inch rigid conduit.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems.Pull and route wire through conduits.Essential SkillsAt least 5 years of experience as an electrician.Experience with 1-inch to 3-inch rigid conduit.Ability to work with galvanized Rigid, PVC coated rigid, and aluminum rigid conduit.Willingness to submit to a 10-year background check.Electrical license (preferred).Additional Skills & QualificationsIndustrial experience is a plus.No residential experience.Ability to obtain a TWIC card (reimbursed after 30 days of working).Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. Safety gear such as a hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety vest, and safety glasses is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00
