Job Description
Albemarle is hiring for an Electrician. This position is on-site in New Johnsonville. The Electrician is responsible for the operation, repairs, and troubleshooting of the electrical distribution of the facility and all electrical related equipment.
What You Will Do
Follow all safety policies and performs work in the safest mannerDaily review work orders in SAP to ensure plant priorities are at the forefront and necessary parts/supplies are being ordered to support the facility relating to electrical systemsAssist the team with strategic planning, scheduling, and coordination of the maintenance program regarding electrical systemsProactively support the maintenance team/jobs to ensure jobs are executed without interruptionsCollaborate daily/weekly with maintenance and production personnel to effectively execute scheduled and unscheduled repairs.Ensure complete understanding of proper PPE necessary for each jobReview jobs in the field to ensure a high quality of workmanship and correct as necessaryTreat maintenance team and all others with RespectEffectively communicate safety, production, and personnel issues as needed to ensure team is involved and supports/addresses any concernsProgression to evolve understanding of site equipment and process to improve safetyAwareness of necessary/pending repairs of equipmentTroubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipmentFull comprehension of Albemarle corporate Electrical policies and proceduresWhat You Bring
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent educationCertificate of completion Electrical Apprentice ProgramFollow all Albemarle safety policies Ability to effectively troubleshoot electrical diagramsUnderstanding of LOTO proceduresMinimum 8 years experience maintaining power supply distribution and all electrical equipment for medium to large size manufacturing facility with electro-mechanical equipment.Understanding of proper PPE requirement according to repairUnderstands the basic principles of the work order process systemGood verbal communication skillsMotivated and self-directed toward goals of safety and reliabilityProactive approach to preventive maintenanceWilling to work overtime as neededUnderstands safe work practices for chemical plantInterface with utility company as needed to support site electrical systemProvide electrical guidance for the plant on future installations and or/projectsExecute any electrical related repairs safely and provide direction/solutions for the siteAbility to lift 50lbsAble to work through adverse weather conditionsExpected and capable to frequently walk, bend, stoop, balance, ascend/descend from ladders, operate various mobile equipment, pulling, crouching, twisting, and reaching.Hear well enough to perceive the nature of sounds relating to process equipment and communication5-10 years' experience running conduits for new equipmentAbility to read & comprehend electrical drawings & blueprintsIt’d be great if you also had:
