**Job Posting: Electrician**
**Location:** Sioux Falls, SD
**Position Overview:** Our client seeking a skilled Electrician to install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in buildings, ensuring all work complies with relevant codes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools or power tools.
+ Troubleshoot electrical issues related to production equipment.
+ Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
+ Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
+ Install conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables, ensuring compliance with electrical codes.
+ Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware, connecting wiring to them.
+ Connect electrical systems to power lines to provide electricity to the building.
+ Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
+ Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
+ Replace conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
+ Support facility maintenance issues beyond electrical duties.
+ Have the correct knowledge of tools and their usage.
+ Disassemble and assemble equipment.
+ Operate a pallet jack and/or forklift (certification required).
+ Understand machine-specific lockout/tagout procedures.
+ Have a general knowledge of Hazmat policies and procedures.
+ Comply with all policies and standards.
**Education:**
+ High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience required.
+ Associate/2-Year Technical Degree required.
**Work Experience:**
+ Minimum of 5-7 years of electrical maintenance experience directly related to the specified duties and responsibilities.
**Licenses and Certifications:**
+ Electrical Journeyman License (EE98J) or a second related Journeyman's License.
+ Equivalent military experience or completion of 60 Credit Hours in Electrical.
+ Forklift and Pallet Jack Certification preferred.
