Electrician

**Position Summary:** The Industrial Maintenance Electrician reports to Electrical Supervisor, Crew Leader, and Plant Engineering Department. Performs repair, maintenance duties, troubleshooting, and other duties as assigned. **Applicants must hold a current journeyman card and be able to work a swift shift.**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Troubleshoots electrical systems from 480Vac to 110Vac and 48Vdc to 5Vdc.
+ Checks and records instrumentation readings on critical plant equipment, including electrical, air gas, water and oil systems.
+ Performs maintenance and repairs on electrical, air, gas, water and oil systems.
+ Troubleshoots new and existing equipment.
+ Monitor, inspect and operate systems to make necessary adjustments and repairs as required.
+ Become highly knowledgeable in all aspects of plant operations.
+ Participants will be enrolled in the federally approved Bureau of Apprenticeship Training joint Apprenticeship Program and maintain GPA per program requirements.
+ Qualifications
+ Must be 18 years or older.
+ Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Physically able to work any position.
+ Must be able to move heavy equipment.
+ Visual acuity 20/20, far and near, with correction if necessary.
**Requirements:**
+ Must be able to meet all requirements of the Joint Apprenticeship Program.
+ Pass a physical exam indicating the applicant can perform the work of the trade with reasonable accommodations.
+ Pass the Apprentice Battery Tests.
+ Successfully complete 8000 hours OJT in the plant.
+ Successfully complete all related courses at a Junior College.
+ Must demonstrate ability.
+ Pass all reviews performed by Supervision and the Apprenticeship Committee.
**Pay Details:** $34.30 per hour
