Job Responsibilities:
This individual performs routine and emergency electrical and mechanical repairs including:
preventative maintenance programs.troubleshooting electrical and equipment problems.repairing electrical equipment and systems.Installation of equipment and electrical systems.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installs, repairs, rebuilds and maintains electrical systems to provide power to machine tools, production equipment and lighting. Diagnoses and programs PLCs. Diagnosis machine malfunctions and difficulties. Disassembles, reworks, adjusts, or replaces electrical components of machines or equipment to achieve desired results. Installs and wires control panels, distribution centers, machine tool controls, switches, timing devices and lighting systems. Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, machine manuals and electrical codes in order to perform safe and effective repairs and installations. Makes emergency repairs when necessary to avoid production delays. Performs layouts of installations. Prepares bills of material and requisitions from engineering specifications. Leads project teams through major installations or revisions of systems and equipment. Routinely contacts suppliers or manufacturers on part information, repair issues, improvement needs and shipping instructions.
