**Job Title: Electrician**
**Job Description**
We are looking for experienced Electricians with 3+ years of experience to join our team. You will be responsible for electrical troubleshooting throughout the facility, assisting Operating Technicians on major projects, and participating in production and maintenance tests to ensure maximum production and quality. Daily duties include taking work orders, managing inventory, and responding to emergency calls. You will work on electrical switchgear, 480-volt three-phase power distribution equipment, and high voltage up to 480V+. The role requires troubleshooting starters, AC/DC motors, drives, and DC Controls, reading schematics, and basic computer knowledge for reporting. Journeyman or Master Electrician certifications and PLC troubleshooting skills are a plus. You must be comfortable performing some mechanical work on motors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics if needed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform electrical troubleshooting throughout the facility.
+ Assist Operating Technicians on major projects.
+ Participate in production and maintenance tests to ensure maximum production and quality.
+ Take work orders and manage inventory, including reporting removed items.
+ Respond to emergency calls.
+ Work on electrical switchgear, 480-volt three-phase power distribution equipment, and high voltage up to 480V+.
+ Troubleshoot starters, AC/DC motors, drives, and DC Controls.
+ Read schematics and use basic computer knowledge for reporting.
+ Perform some mechanical work on motors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics if needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience.
+ Ability to read motor control schematics.
+ Experience with AC/DC motor control.
+ Troubleshooting and repairing controls, motors, switches, and starters.
+ Basic computer knowledge.
+ Valid Driver's License.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ PLC troubleshooting/maintenance experience.
+ Experience with switchgear and high voltage (440V, 480V).
+ Basic understanding of plant power one-line diagrams of high and medium voltage power distribution.
+ Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
+ Journeyman or Master Electrician certification.
+ High school diploma or GED.

**Work Environment**
This is a heavy industrial work environment that requires wearing fire-retardant clothing, steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses. You will work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in high areas and various weather conditions, including summer heat up to 130 degrees. The facility is large and rough, emphasizing safety at all times. You will always work alongside another skilled tradesperson to ensure safety. The role involves a day shift from 7:30am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday with potential for weekends) and a rotating swing shift schedule that repeats every four weeks. On-call duties are required every other month for true emergencies.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
