An Electrician Associate will safely and effectively performs diagnostic testing and repairs on extensive electrical systems, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems in order to ensure continuous operation of production equipment.
Responsibilities Performs planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process to ensure the integrity of electrical systemsDiagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs/maintain all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process including blenders, crystallizers, dryers, extruders, formers, trim presses, conveyors, and grindersTroubleshoots AC and DC drives and motors; PC and PLC controlled systems; heaters, thermocouples, and heat controllers; safety circuitsModifies new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgradesUses Maintenance Connection to record and close work orders accurately and in a timely mannerResponsible for ensuring housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidyFollows all Company established rules and policiesAdheres to all Safety rules and regulationsAnalytical, problem solving, project management, strong technical/functional skills, customer service, interpersonal skills, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, organized, mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude, detail oriented Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalency; 2 year Electro-Mechanical technical degree preferred1-3 years related experienceMust be knowledgeable in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blue print reading (mechanical/electrical), understanding of welding and fabricationPrevious electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities; Previous mechanical experience with troubleshooting capabilitiesMust have knowledge of PLC and PC controlsPrefer experience using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Omron systemsMust have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectivelyAbility to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essentialFlexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed
