Summary:
National Power, LLC is actively seeking an Electrician Helper. Under the general direction of and reporting to the Broadband Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment for National Power customers.
The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Assist in preventative maintenance inspections
+ Install, repair, and service electrical systems
+ Source or fabricate replacement electrical components
+ Knowledge of the NEC, and interpret blueprints and carry out work accordingly
+ Obtain required equipment, tools and materials for projects
+ Test and troubleshoot electrical systems
+ Provide assistance during emergencies
+ Update field service work orders, project records and prepare relevant documents and reports
+ Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety awareness on job sites and during all electrical installations.
Qualifications:
+ Possess 3 years of experience as an electrical apprentice is required.
+ Active E.T. Electrical Trainee card is required.
+ Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role.
+ In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and the NEC.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
+ Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations
Education & Experience:
+ High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or relevant certification is preferred.
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical installation, repair, and maintenance
+ Experience in residential or commercial electricity is preferred.
Work Environment:
+ This position may require working in various environments, including construction sites, residential buildings, and commercial facilities.
+ Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
+ Competitive pay depending on previous experience and current certifications. Overtime is also a factor and is paid at 1.5 times the base rate. We are a performance-based company and pay will ultimately reflect the employee’s productivity and overall performance.
+ Three weeks of paid vacation after 90 days (first year is pro-rated based on start date)

Additional Info:
+ Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen are required.
+ Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.
+ This is a remote position and will require the employee to work from home.
+ The job WILL require driving long distances to job sites. Overnight stays in hotels up to 3 nights per week are required. The company will cover hotel costs and provide a meal allowance per company guidelines. The overnight preventive maintenance has a schedule from 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
