Electrician I
Shift: This role is 3rd Shift, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $40.19 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

Candidates should have a strong work ethic, possess strong technical skills, solid mechanical aptitude, capable of performing highly diversified duties to install and maintain electronic components of production machines and the plant facility equipment working in a team environment. 

•    Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning electrical systems in  
     an industrial/manufacturing environment.
•    Interpret and create electrical drawings & schematics. 
•    Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment.
•    Install safety and distribution components: switches, resistors, circuit break 
     panels.
•    Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of 
     components.
•    Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through conduits.
•    Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old  
     wiring and insulate cables, cleaning circuits.
•    Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and 
      repair or substitute damaged units.
•    Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during 
    production, perform electronic tests and inspections, cleaning contacts, 
     circuit boards, ensuring systems are grounded.
•    Perform mechanic skills focus on electrical, but not limited to, mechanical, 
     pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
•    Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required 
     maintenance and service.
•    Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
•    Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and 
     plant facility.
•    Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material 
     handling equipment in performing duties.
•    Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any 
     unusual situations to proper supervision.
•    Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas, 
     responsible for executing all required quality processes and 
     documentation.
•    Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform 
      performance.
•    Assists in training new employees.
•    Attend meetings and trainings as required.
•    Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
•    Understands Controls Logic and how to troubleshoot.
•    Experience with Allen Bradley hardware & software 
•    Understands and able to troubleshoot Industrial automation controls. 


Qualifications

•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Must be able to effectively communicate and interpret work instructions 
     and safety rules.
•    Ability to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
•    Repetitive arm and hand motions during working shift.
•    Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
•    Able to lift 40 pounds consistently.
•    Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time 
     including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and 
     twisting over surfaces.
•    Willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
•    Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary 
     personal protective equipment.
•    Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a 
     food manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to raw food material, fumes, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling in tight spaces, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
