Electrician - Installation Site Lead (Fully Remote - Southeastern US) Atlanta, GA 30302 JOB SUMMARY The Electrical Automation Technician Site Lead is responsible for overseeing the build and installation of automation systems at various project sites. The position requires being onsite at various locations across the US for extended periods (months) at a time. This position will work closely with the Project Manager and Mechanical site lead to ensure that the technical skills of the electrical team members are aligned. This role combines technical expertise in electrical and automation systems with leadership skills to manage a team of technicians, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This is a 100% remote position and employee will travel 100% of the time. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES + Project Management: + Lead and manage the build, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical automation systems. + Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocations. + Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met. + Technical Expertise: + Perform and oversee electrical installations, wiring, and assembly of automation equipment. + Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to electrical and automation systems. + Team Leadership: + Supervise and mentor a team of internal and/or external (contractor) electrical automation technicians. + Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment. + Compliance and Safety: + Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations. + Manage any required permitting activities. + Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. + Documentation and Reporting: + Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. + Prepare and submit detailed reports on project progress, issues, and resolutions. + Document changes and updates to electrical and pneumatic drawing packages. + Identify and manage change order opportunities. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE + Minimum vocational or associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical automation systems, including hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and other automation devices. + At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role. SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB + Technical Skills: + Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and pneumatic drawings. + Subject matter expert in high voltage and low voltage electrical circuits + Familiarity with industrial automation software and tools. + Experience with various communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus). + Soft Skills: + Excellent leadership and team management abilities. + Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. WORK ENVIROMENT + This position may require working in various industrial environments, including manufacturing plants, warehouses, and construction sites. + Travel to different project sites will be required. + Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet project deadlines. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. + Capability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods. + Dexterity to work with small tools and components. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $32 to $37 per hour. The salary range provided is a general guideline.
