Title: Electrician - Journey Level
Location:  Roberta, GA

Salary: $34.50/hour starting rate - $40.25/hour (top craft rate after training completion and dependent on schedule)
Schedule: 5-8's

Focus: The Journey Level Electrician will install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and related components for industrial machinery and equipment.  Journey Level Electricians work with minimum supervision; daily duties involve reading and interpreting work orders, technical descriptions and safety manuals -- including NEC and ANSI -- and reading and following electrical code, manuals, schematics and circuit prints.   


Journey Level Electrician Essential Job Functions: Install power supply wiring and diagnose or troubleshoot malfunctions; maintain, repair or replace faulty components such as relays, switches, motors or fixtures; calibrate, install and maintain a variety of instruments used to measure temperature, level, pressure and flow. Advise and consult with operators, engineers, factory or manufacturer representatives or area manager on maintenance problems and projects; prepare maintenance or repair plan, including calculation of material and personnel needs; collaborate with operating personnel on work permits and maintenance/repair activities.  Prepare reports of maintenance and repair activities, including modifications of schematics or blueprints. Inspect and maintain transformers, buss bars, circuit breakers, and wiring connections in power distribution substations; troubleshoot electrical equipment, switchgear, controls and wiring using test equipment; repair motor, starter and controls, including rewiring and replacing bearings; test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and meggers. Troubleshoot equipment instrumentation and control systems (DCS/PLC/MLC) and the ladder logic; calibrate, install and maintain a variety of instruments used to measure temperature, level, pressure and flow; install and maintain electrical and pneumatic systems; monitor specific equipment (CEMS, pH, Conductivity) and may monitor and replace pressure relief valves; monitor plant areas for the presence of combustibles and maintain and troubleshoot low voltage sensors including proximity switches and photo eyes. Participate in safety meetings and training activities and follow established safety and operating procedures and practices; support Root Cause failure Analysis for I&E components Journey Level Electrician Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 5 years Electrician work experience (industrial setting preferred) & Journeyman level as an Electrician; complete employment application explaining detailed work history (résumé must cover at least 5 years work experience) Demonstrated proficiency as an Electrician (Electrical primary craft) Able to demonstrate basic computer skills, math and problem-solving; mechanical, numerical and verbal aptitude to learn our jobs quickly Must be able to work call-ins and overtime when support is needed Able to pass a functional physical testing and able to use standard safety equipment; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; able to climb ladders/stairs and work at heights; able to work in tight or closed-in spaces
