To provide journeyman level skills and expertise in the installation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, remodeling, repair and servicing of the University’s electrical systems from 12 volt up to and including 12,470 volts. Assembles, installs and repairs circuitry, switchgear, distribution systems and all related components. Frequently responsible for the training and supervision of less skilled workers. Work performed in an educational and research environment. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of a year of commercial or industrial electrical experience along with experience estimating small electrical jobs and overseeing a small group of employees. Texas Journeyman Electrician license is required and must be able to possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
