Electrician - Life Sciences Facility Job ID 192935 Posted 12-Nov-2024 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Engineering/Maintenance, Facilities Management Location(s) Zebulon - North Carolina - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. **What You’ll Do:** + Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment. + Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes. + Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner. + Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules. + Provide efficient and reliable service to customers. + Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems. + Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code and NFPA 70e. + Highly safety conscious to work in the following environments: extreme temperatures, steam, high hazard electrical areas, loud noises, and pharmaceutical dust. + Proficient with lockout/ tagout processes, hazard precautions and personal protective equipment requirements. + Become an authorized receiver to process permit to work forms for non-routine work. + Prepare Job Safety Analysis and assist with Risk Assessments. + Provide support during facility shut down times. + Complete all required safety training in a timely manner. + Participate in the Zero Accident Program. + Available to be on a rotating call schedule for nights and weekends. + Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. + Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement. + Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team. + Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. + Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations. **What You’ll Need:** + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required. + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. + Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents. + Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. + Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
