This role operates and maintains generator sets and equipment used in the power generation industry. Helps resolve electrical and mechanical problems, to achieve production targets. **Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:** + Performs routine component installations and maintenance. Maintains records of equipment usage, repair history, reliability and other similar factors. + Safely troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical / instrument equipment, reciprocating engines and/or balance of plant equipment. + Power generating facility operations including, but not limited to, activities that involve local control panels, supervisor control, data acquisition systems, keys, switches, buttons, handles, valves, etc. + Perform not only instrument / electrical duties but provide mechanical assistance when needed with instructional direction. + Perform industrial maintenance activities including, but not limited to, the operation, maintenance and repair of pumps, fans, engines, fuel systems and remaining balance of plant equipment. + Cooperates with other operators in the power plant to ensure operational efficiency. + Reads and interprets mechanical and electrical blueprints and diagrams to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery.
