Job Description

We are looking for an Electrician Mechanic to join our team for the Carrier Library Addition/Renovation project at JMU (West Side 81). The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical conduit work and be committed to completing the project from start to finish.

ResponsibilitiesCut, bend, thread, and run 1/2\", 3/4\", and 1\" electrical conduit materials.Pull electrical wiring through electrical conduit.Hook up and terminate electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets, and various electrical devices.Ensure dependability and a willingness to complete the project from start to finish.Essential SkillsExperience in electrical conduit workProficiency in cutting, bending, and threading conduitAbility to pull electrical wiring through conduitsExperience with electrical panel termination and setting fixturesKnowledge of running and bending MC CableExperience with light fixturesAdditional Skills & QualificationsRigid bending/running experience is a mustWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in all weather conditions at the JMU Carrier Library. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 40 hours a week. As the project progresses towards its end in Fall 2025, there may be increased work hours. Additionally, if you live more than 40 miles away, you will receive a $20.00 daily mileage reimbursement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
