Electrician Technician
**Job Title: Electrician Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking experienced Electrician Technicians to work on new construction projects at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves assembling, installing, wiring, and setting up apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools. Proficiency in bending and running conduit/EMT is essential. You will read and interpret blueprints and install fuse boxes. The role requires working with basic hand tools, and a cordless drill is a plus. Reliable transportation and the ability to work a consistent 40-hour week are mandatory. **Responsibilities** + Assemble and install electrical wiring, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools. + Read and interpret blueprints accurately. + Install fuse boxes and other electrical components. + Proficiently bend and run conduit/EMT. + Troubleshoot and perform terminations and panel installations. + Ensure compliance with high voltage and electrical component standards. + Work independently and oversee a crew if required. + Use basic hand tools and cordless drills effectively. + Maintain safety standards by wearing required PPE: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel-Toed Boots, Hi-Vis Shirt/Vest, Safety Gloves, and Working Pants. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 7 years of commercial new construction electrical experience. + Proficiency in bending and running conduit/EMT. + Experience with electrical troubleshooting, terminations, and panel installations. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Knowledge of high voltage and electrical components. + Familiarity with NEC codes. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience must be recent, within the last year. + Electrical helpers require a minimum of 1 year commercial construction electrical experience. + Electrical technicians require 3-5 years of commercial electrical experience. + Top installers should have the ability to work independently and oversee a crew. + Bilingual skills are a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a reputable premier electrical contractor in the Jacksonville area. The work environment varies between outdoor and indoor settings, dealing with weather conditions as necessary. Contractors must be on-site by 6:45am, with working hours from 7am to 3:30pm. Safety and proper attire are paramount. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, Florida. **_The start date would be immediately (preferably 2/6/2025)_** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
