Electrician - Traffic Signalization
**Description** ELECTRICIAN - TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION Electricians will perform a variety of tasks associated with the installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signals and related equipment. This position will be required to have a working knowledge of three phase 240v/480v and 240v/120v. Benefits: + Health Insurance (Medical/Dental/Vision) starting day 1 + Life, long-term/short-term disability insurances + Company Sponsored Retirement Plan + Employee Assistance Program + PTO + Paid Holidays Essential Functions & Responsibilities: + Placing and installing a variety of poles for highway lighting + Working with lighting ballasts, pull boxes, signage, and transformers + Construct and repair traffic signals and systems + Measuring, cutting, and bending wire and conduit + Troubleshooting lighting circuits + Must be able to read and interpret blueprints + Assist with on-site work duties Minimum Qualifications: + Must be 18 years of age or older. + Must be able to present a current Electrician’s Journeyman Card + Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally + Knowledge of electrical wiring, meters, oscilloscopes, and services. Education & Experience + Prior DOT / Highway work experience preferred. License & Certifications: + Valid driver's license required. + Journeyman Electrician card preferred. Travel Requirements: + Potential travel required for temporary backup needs at other office locations. Physical Requirements: The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Safety: Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
