Review the position below and apply today. **Job Summary** + Inspects, tests, troubleshoots and repairs electrical circuits and electronic equipment under the guidance and direction of an experienced electrician or supervisor. + Performs standardized duties and tasks using hand tools and testing instruments. + Isolates defects in wiring, switches, monitors and other electrical equipment using testing instrument such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, etc. + Replaces faulty switches, sockets and other elements of electrical systems + May dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective parts and related fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications. + Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and instructions to accomplish assigned tasks + Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures + Respects and works safely around power plant equipment to safeguard personnel and equipment. Maintains a neat, clean shop and work area to enhance the working environment. + Perform other duties as requested or assigned Individual will be part of the emergency response organization and some travel (for periods of up to a month or more) may be required to support other station outages. Must obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear access. This position is represented by the Bargaining Agreement between Dominion and the Local Union 50 of the IBEW. The starting hourly rate is $23.95 **Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience** **Required Qualifications:** + Must have high school diploma or GED + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds + Must be physically able and willing to utilize respirators, SCBA bottles, fall protection or other equipment essential to the requirements of maintaining a Nuclear Power Plant including making containment entries. **Preferred Qualifications:** + One year of electrical work in an industrial setting and experience working with basic hand tools + Electrical trade school or prior military experience + Nuclear power plant experience **Other Qualifications:** + Working knowledge of AC and DC circuitry as well as equipment grounding requirements. + Demonstrated use of electrical repair procedures and blueprint circuit understanding. + Good oral communication skills + Applies basic skills and works on developing advance skills using tools and equipment + Ability to resolve routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to more experienced personnel + Ability to follow standard written and oral instruction **Education Requirements** High School Diploma **Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description** ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, Section 4.5.7.1 and 4.5.7.2 Education requirements: High school diploma Minimum experience for the position: Related experience 1 yr This positionis part ofa formal training program whereby the candidate/employee may not meet the full ANSI requirements of years of experience until the formal training program is completed. **Working Conditions** **Other Working Conditions** **Test Description** This job requires recommended test results from the EEI Power Plant Maintenance Selection System (MASS) aptitude test, administered on site during the pre-employment process.To view the practice test, cut and paste the following URL in your browser, https://careers.dominionenergy.com/content/Pre-Employment-Testing/ **Export Control** Certain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
