As an Engineer for E+ES India team, you will have opportunities to contribute on complex projects via Simulation, Development and Validation of complex electrical systems pertaining to battery, fuel cells & microgrids. This will involve whole aspects of control system value chain from concept, development, testing, validation and improvement. This role directly impacts Caterpillar’s current and future Battery, fuel cells and microgrid products being developed.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Develop supervisory controls for fuel cells & Oversee SIL/MIL/HIL development and validation for Fuel CellsDefine & Execute battery control strategy requirements.Develop BMS controls for upcoming non-NPI programsMost of these would be non-traditional ECMs, Open ECM etcPerform Unit Test and Rapid Prototype development and execution.Perform complex analysis, identify, and solve challenging controls problemsTechnical help and guide engineers and peers as needed.Basic Qualifications:
Masters or PhD in Supervisor controls with >5 years of direct experience in electrification supervisory controlsWorking knowledge of SIL/MIL/HIL & other controls software for Electrification controls.Prior experience in developing BMS Algorithms and validating the samePrior experience with hands-on hardware development for early tech controller conceptsBasic PCB design, SW and HW architecture knowledge would be helpfulPrior experience on supervisory controls related to Fuel Cells, EV, Micro-grids would be beneficialTop Candidates Will Also Have:
Strong project management skills – Developing, maintaining, and executing to a project management plan. Ability to develop & leverage a global network of engineering resources.Powertrain domain knowledgeExcellent analytical and communication skillsSelf-starter with strong project management skillsEnjoys working in a fast paced, technically challenging environmentWillingness to travel domestic/international up to 10% when job role requirePosting Dates:
