MAIN ACTIVITIES
This position requires knowledge of electromechanical assemblies and/or electronics packaging. Design, test, and develop board-level analog and digital electronic assemblies. Work closely with design teams to help launch time critical products. Work closely with cross functional groups including test department and manufacturing. High level of organization to manage multiple projects. Expected to evaluate, approve, and implement engineering change orders. Expected to write test plans and assist in the development of fixtures and test equipment. Able to create 2D drawings and possess a firm understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance. Expected to approve FPIs and review completed tests. Expected to utilize lab test equipment such as data collection equipment, power supply and electronic load to conduct testing. Employ Design of Experiments and other scientific methods to develop/qualify processes. Expected to monitor and support local manufacturing efforts. Perform Routine Production Line audits Perform local supplier technical audits Capacity to run thermal Analysis of new product concepts Delegate task to Drafter with a well organize information to complete to projectREQUIREMENTS
Education required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering. English 90% proficiency.Work experience required:
3+ years of engineering experience
Skills required:
Demonstrated hands-on problem-solving skills and can-do attitude. Familiar with plastic injection molded parts, die cast parts, stamped parts, and the associated plating process. Experience with high volume consumer products manufacturing preferred. Knowledge of Catia or equivalent 3D CAD software (Pro-E, etc). Strong communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.It is mandatory of all Stanley Black & Decker employees, take all the ethics, conduct and compliance trainings as well as to maintain and follow all the guidelines established.
RESPONSABILITIES
Generate new concepts for thermal control, wire handling, assembly features in plastic involved in electronic modulesHandling task to delegate for entry level engineer.Attend meetings and teardowns related to possible failures of mature products and NPI productsGenerate fixtures to support Electrical team with component validationsCreate, organize, and update Design packages (drawings and BOMs) to quote with suppliers.AUTHORITIES
